What about The Kickoff pre-show?
The Kickoff pre-show, featuring host
Renee Young breaking down the action with celebrated pundits, will begin at 7pm
local time and at midnight in the UK. You can watch it on the WWE Network,
WWE com, the official WWE App, YouTube and several other devices/websites. This
edition will see former partners in The Hype Bros, Mojo Rawley and Zack Ryder,
face each other in singles competition after Rawley broke up their team by
attacking Ryder.
What is the main event?
AJ Styles defeated Jinder Mahal to
become WWE Champion on SmackDown Live in Manchester on November 7 - a night UK
fans will never forget as it marked the first WWE world title change ever to
take place outside of North America. Now the Modern Day Maharaja gets his
mandatory rematch. He will be hoping the combined might of his Khallas finisher
and his cronies the Singh Brothers will be enough to overcome the Phenomenal
One.
What about the women's title?
Another title rematch sees Natalya try to reclaim the SmackDown Women's Championship from Charlotte Flair. However, the daughter of Ric Flair doesn't have to just worry about her Canadian rival. The Riott Squad (ruby Riot, Liv Morgan and Sarah Morgan) have been causing mayhem on Tuesday nights with a series of ambushes on the members of the women's division, including Charlotte. As a result this will be a Lumberjack match with the Riott Squad plus the likes of Naomi, Lana, Carmella and Tamina at ringside. Will there be a tag team title match?
A huge one! SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Uso look to see out their sensational 2017 in style by defending their titles against The New Day, plus Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable, plus Rusev and Aiden English, in a Fatal 4-Way tag team match. This should be absolutely wild. What are the other key matches on the card?
The biggest non-title clash is undoubtedly Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura versus Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in a tag team match with Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan as special guest referees. Shane O'Mac is sick to the back teeth of Owens and Zayn and says if they lose this match, they will be fired. Yet Bryan seemingly has sympathy for the Canadian duo and may well prevent his boss from unduly influencing the outcome of this contest.Elsewhere Baron Corbin puts his US title on the line in a triple threat match with Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler. Could it be a Glorious end to the year for Roode, will the Showoff steal the show, or can the Lone Wolf hang onto the gold?
WWE CLASH OF CHAMPIONS 2017 MATCHES CARDS FULL DETAILS
Singles
match
Mojo Rawley vs. Zack Ryder: There has been no development for this feud. Rawley
turned on Ryder three weeks ago and has said less than four sentences since.
Ryder has not been seen. Neither was on the go-home edition of SmackDown.
Tag team
match
The Bludgeon Brothers vs. Breezango: The last match added to the card, this will be an
opportunity for the Bludgeon Brothers to get some shine against real opponents.
It should nevertheless be the squash and could spell the end of "Fashion
Files."
Triple threat match for the WWE United States
Championship
Baron Corbin (c) vs. Bobby Roode vs.
Dolph Ziggler: It was assumed that Roode
would get an opportunity, but Ziggler being added came out of nowhere. Is he
just going to be the fall guy?
Women's
Championship
Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Natalya
(Lumberjack Match): As expected, Natalya got her
rematch, but it suddenly became a lumberjack match out of nowhere two weeks
ago.
WWE
SmackDown Tag Team Championship
The Usos (c) vs. Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin, The New
Day and Rusev & Aiden English: So
much for Gable & Benjamin getting the match they deserved. This was
enhanced to a Fatal 4-Way despite neither the champions nor the challengers
being involved as Rusev & English beat New Day.
Tag team
match with Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan as special guest referees
Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs.
Randy Orton & Shinsuke Nakamura: Commissioner
Shane McMahon and general manager Daniel Bryan will serve as special guest
referees as the WWE careers of Owens & Zayn are on the line in this
match.
WWE
Championship
AJ Styles (c) vs. Jinder Mahal: This serves as Mahal's official rematch after Styles took
the title off him ahead of Survivor Series. Whether there will be any
stipulations remains to be seen.
