On the May 6 edition of Raw, Del Rio defeated Ziggler via disqualification when Swagger attacked both men with a ladder, resulting in Ziggler suffering a concussion. Ziggler was removed from the PPV as a result of his injury, and the next week on Raw, senior advisor Teddy Long announced that Del Rio and Swagger would instead wrestle in an “I Quit” match, for the #1 contendership to the World Title.
